Dear colleagues and friends,

I have the pleasure to cordially invite you to assist at the ninth edition of the International Congress of FEMTC which will take place on May 31 and June 1st, in the town of Peñiscola, also known as "the city in the sea" or "the town of Pope Luna".

Some events which recently happened in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine will serve as starting point to his congress: First, the recent passing of the law regulating non-conventional medicine in the neighbor country Portugal, which is taking the leading in these matters. Second, the scientific, technical and therapeutic advances made in acupuncture and Chinese herbs. And finally, it will be an opportunity to make a homage to the great master of TCM in Spain, Prof. Dr. Hailiang Saebe.

The congress is pursuing one of the most cherished goals by Dr. Hailiang, which is the divulgation, teaching and understanding of Chinese medicine, guided by the heart.

Several professionals from Europe and beyond are expected to come giving a lot of prestige to the congress and thus strengthening the position of TCM in Europe.

In order to encourage you to participate, I am convinced that you are going to assist at an interdisciplinary congress, with many participants, celebrated in a city with a long history which was one of the pillars of the Reconquest at the time of the Arabian occupation, with excellent weather in one of the bests touristic areas of Valencia, and the beach waiting for the first bathers.

We will be happy not only to work together for the benefit of the development of TCM but also to show you our history and culture which certainly will arouse your interest. And the best tribute we can pay to our great teacher is to follow his teachings at the places where he lived during his lasts visits to our country.

It is, finally, a great opportunity to meet colleagues, workmates, teachers, friends, leaders of European and Chinese institutions with whom we can share different views and open cooperation lines and personal or professional contacts which are all very useful for the professional development. You can also know more about the latest developments in the area at the stands showing different tools for the practice of TCM.

Best regards,

Ramón Maria Calduch
Vice President of the European Foundation of TCM
